detailed description

TOP FLOAT Surf Boss Rigs are brilliantly designed, essential additions to your tackle box.

The Surf Boss enables the land-based angler to try a new land-based approach, especially when surfcasting.

Surf Boss is tied with our 5/0 chemically sharpened

Sakana hooks (Octopus style) with tough 80lb mono.

Our unique Top Float System is employed to suspend the rig vertically above the sinker.

To assist the flies, fish attraction is intensified with Lumo Beads.

Casting is brilliant with the floats acting as a tail,

keeping the rig "honest" on its way out.

Distance casting, and no tangles evident during testing, not a bother with Surf Boss.

These awesome rigs free float the baited flies, keeping them up off the bottom when fishing for species like Snapper, Gurnard, Kahawai etc.

Floated baits offer a new approach presenting the bait in a more natural, lifelike manner.

This unique rig fishes vertically instead of lying across the bottom.

Baits are kept fresh and clean, not silted up.

The super bouyant float system visually assists the angler when the rig is retrieved.

It can also be used to great advantage when fishing shallows like estuaries, as a visual placement guide.

Cast beyond the channels and retrieve until the float descends below the surface.

This shows your rig is now fishing in deeper water, perhaps on a channel edge or bank.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1: Link a sinker to swivel clip and tie line to swivel.
2: Lightly bait flies as normal.
3: Fish as a normal surfcasting rig but feel the difference.

Remember, big baits can reduce flotation.
Try fishing Surf Boss in a running tide or current too using a breakaway sinker method.

Note: Not suitable in turbulent surf conditions.
